FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01

What are the water requirements at time of application?

First, granular fertilizer application assumes the soil has enough moisture in it to break down the fertilizer. Water is inherent to liquid fertilizer application, ensuring faster solubility and access by root systems.

02

What about application uniformity?

Liquid application of NP&K and other product are generally considered to result in a more uniform application with improved nutrient distribution.

03

Is there an appreciable increase in soil activation with liquid fertilization?

Yes. Liquid application is fast-acting and ideal when fast nutrient uptake is desired.

04

What are some advantages to using liquid fertilizers?

Liquid application is fast-acting. Liquid application can be more easily and effectively blended with bio-stimulants and other crop/soil enhancing product. With liquid fertilization, every drop can be tailored to contain exacting mixtures/proportions. Liquid holding tank(s) may be required.

Granular fertilizers often contain high salt content that may burn seeds. In banding or ‘starter’ applications, plants may fail to infuse vital nutrients containing high salt content.

05

What about multiple per-crop applicationS?

Liquid applications can provide a much-needed boost for crops during the growing season – again, subsequent applications to the same crop can be uniquely tailored to
meet the specific requirements of each crop’s growing cycle. Liquid application is fast-acting and ideal when fast nutrient uptake is desired.

If you don’t have time to apply subsequent fertilizer applications, slow-release granular fertilizers are an option.
